Manali

Manali is one of the famous tourist destinations in India and is 270Kms away from Shimla. It is situated on the bank of Beas (Vyaas River) near to its source. It is located in the Valley of Beas River in Himachal Pradesh, India at an altitude of 2,050 m (6,726 ft). Its elevation ranges from 1,800 m (5,900 ft) to 2,000 m (6,600 ft) in the uppermost part of “Old Manali” section.

Climate of Manali

It is very cold during winters, and average cool during summers. The temperature ranges from 4 °C to 20 °C during the year. The moderate temperature in summer is between 04 °C (39 ° F) and 15 °C and between −15 ° C and 05 °C in winter.

Rafting is done in the Manaki to Jhiri section near Bajaura in the Kullu district. The rafting season starts in April and ends in mid of June.
